Congratulations to Head Chef Paul Mounsey and the team at range restaurant. The Age Good Food Guide 2012 rated the restaurant at 14.5/20 for a second year in a row and provided a glowing review of the quality of food and service. Read the review here.
Summer is the season for berries and stone fruits with the local farmers now picking apricots, blackberries, blueberries, boysenberries, cherries, peaches, plums, raspberries and strawberries.
These ingredients make for some delicious desserts and Head Chef Paul Mounsey has outdone himself with a great summer menu. Try out the Pistachio, raspberry and vanilla bean crème brulee or Passionfruit Bombe Alaska with Bright berries, passionfruit and blueberry jelly.

New Year’s Eve Dinner
We invite you to join us to celebrate the New Year with a special evening planned for Saturday 31 December. Commencing at 6.30 pm, the evening promises to be a gourmet’s delight with a sumptuous dinner including Coffin Bay Oysters, Venison Carpaccio, Cone Bay Barramundi and Milawa Duck all on the menu. There is also a separate Vegetarian Menu featured for those who would prefer.

In The Region
The wineries are in full swing at this time of year, with many offering great events for both the family and the wine connoisseur. Gapsted Wines is offering a series of Movies by Moonlight as well as their
annual Music on the Deck series - The perfect way to spend a summer’s afternoon... great view, relaxing tunes and a glass of your favourite Gapsted Wine in hand.
Summer is also the season for cyclists to congregate in the Alpine Region with some iconic events being held. The Audax Alpine Classic is the highlight, being held every year over the Australia Day long weekend (27 – 29 January 2012). This event attracts over 2 000 cyclists from all over Australia. Five rides are offered ranging from a 70km ride to the 200 km challenge.
